My Journey: From Control Systems to Cybersecurity Advisor
Explore my professional evolution from a Control Systems Engineer to a Cybersecurity Industrial Advisor

It all started in control rooms—blinking lights, endless cables, and the hum of systems most people never see. That’s where I learned how industries breathe.
As an engineer fresh out of college, I wasn’t just building automation systems—I was decoding how the physical world connects to the digital one. From PLCs and DCS setups to industrial protocols and networks, I got my hands dirty (literally) and grew obsessed with understanding how it all fits together.
But then something shifted.
The more I built, the more I saw the cracks—the overlooked vulnerabilities, the growing risks as legacy systems met modern threats. That’s when I pivoted. I didn’t want to just operate systems. I wanted to protect them.
My path took me from hands-on implementation to cybersecurity consulting across city infrastructures, offshore substations, and global energy majors. I’ve performed risk assessments in Toronto, designed OT security architectures for wind farms in North America, and now help govern security for upstream operations at ExxonMobil.
Every step along the way—every firewall configured, every threat model designed, every policy written—has been driven by a single belief: critical systems deserve intelligent defense.
I’m still learning, still building, and always pushing to stay one step ahead of the threats. Because for me, this isn’t just engineering. It’s purpose.
